Victorian Ultimate League

The Victorian Ultimate League (VUL) is the premier Ultimate competition in Victoria. Teams from across the state participate in regular game days that feature 3 games per team, with total wins and losses accumulated across all Game Days to crown champion teams. The league runs separate Open and Women’s divisions in summer months, with VUL-Mixed being played in winter each year.

VUL is played with the following modifications to regular Ultimate rules

  • Six players on the field per team
  • 75% scale fields (75m x 30m; 13.5m endzones)
  • Time cap at 60 minutes

Please note the following player eligibility rules for Victorian Ultimate League events from 2020.

  • Open teams: Teams are not permitted to have any players who participated in 2019 Australian Ultimate Championships (Division 1 only)
  • Women’s teams: Teams may contain one player who participated in 2019 Australian Ultimate Championships (Division 1 only). Teams can apply for further exemptions. Consideration given to players with historical ties to clubs/teams, or who are likely to contribute significantly to their team’s skill development.
  • Mixed teams: Eligibility rules for VUL-Mixed 2020 are yet to be determine.
