Southern Stars
The Southern Stars team was a joint initiative between UV, Tasmanian Ultimate Association, Albury Wodonga Ultimate Frisbee and Ballarat Ultimate to give women from outside Melbourne the opportunity to compete in the summer club season. 30 women represented the team over the summer at the Golden City Classic, Victorian Ultimate Championships and AUC Division II.
Players hailing from Albury-Wodonga, Hobart, Launceston, Ballarat, Horsham, Geelong and Adelaide played for the team in 2023. Over time, the Southern Stars will help to establish stand-alone teams from these centres, and welcome in players from other clubs without their own women’s team. If your club wishes to be part of the Stars in 2024, please contact us.
