Maroondah Ultimate Frisbee Club

Maroondah Ultimate Frisbee Club was established in 2021 to provide local opportunities to play ultimate frisbee in Ringwood, Croydon, Mooroolbark and surrounding suburbs.
The club is primarily focussed on youth ultimate. With ultimate frisbee being part of the PE curriculum in many primary and secondary schools in the area, the club aims to provide a pathway into playing a fun, energetic sport that one day may be included in the Olympics!

What is Ultimate Frisbee?
Ultimate Frisbee is a team sport that is like a cross between netball and American football, played with a flying disc. Teams work together to pass the disc around and try and take a catch in the endzone to score a goal. The sport is non-contact and self referred, so players take responsibility for the safety of themselves, their teammates and their opponents.
See What Is Ultimate page for more.
I’ve never played before!
That’s ok! Our coaches are experienced players themselves and are happy to show you how to throw and catch, and get you started playing a game.
If you’ve never seen ultimate frisbee before, head to our What Is Ultimate page
What do I wear and what do I need to bring with me?
For footwear, ideally you will need footy/soccer boots, otherwise runners will do. For clothing – whatever you are comfortable running around in. Please bring a white shirt and a dark shirt with you as these help us designate the teams. There are change rooms at the venue, but most players just put their white/dark on over the top of whatever else they have on.
Bring a water bottle as you will get thirsty playing! Otherwise we have all the equipment you need to play ready to go.
How much does it cost?
MUFC School Holiday Program is $10 per week. Family discounts can be arranged – simply speak to the co-ordinators on the day.
Payments can be made via EFTPOS at the sessions.
Do I need to register?
To register, download the UV Program Youth Consent Form. It can be filled out electronically and email to admin [at] ultimatevictoria.com.au or printed and given to the coaches on the day.
Where is it?
MUFC’s school holiday program will be held at Gracedale Park in Ringwood East. Drop off and pick up is the car park off Gracedale Avenue.
