U18 Victorian Teams

Ultimate Victoria have entered teams into the ‘Australian Youth Ultimate Championships‘ (AYUC) since the AFDA first ran it in 2013. The U18 Boy’s team is called the ‘Bandicoots’ and the U18 Girl’s team is call ‘Blaze’.

In 2018, the Blaze won the championships in Adelaide, whilst the Bandicoots came an extremely close second in their division. In 2019, Blaze placed third and the Bandicoots placed second.

In 2019, the mixed division was added to the U18 Australian Youth Championships. Ultimate Victoria aims to field a mixed team in future events.

Due to COVID the 2020 Australian Youth Ultimate Championships will not run. We are excited to have Victorian Junior Representative teams again in 2021.

COME AND TRY SESSIONS

Never played before? No worries!

We will run Come & Try sessions in the lead up to the representative team selection events.

These sessions will provide a great opportunity for anyone aged 14-18 to come along and give Ultimate Frisbee a go and to learn more about the sport. Fundamentals about how the game works as well as throwing techniques will be taught. The coaches are extremely welcoming and supportive and will help allay any fear of trying out for the Victorian teams if you are new to the sport.
