Volunteer of the Month – November 2022
Congratulations to our November Volunteer of the Month, Christina Van! Ultimate Victoria would like to recognise Christina’s incredible volunteer efforts that are year long across multiple clubs.
As described by a community member, “When she isn’t putting her time and skills towards coaching (Monash UMUC & University Nationals 2022), team managing (Victorian U22 Women’s 2022) or on committee positions (Chilly Committee 2021), she is always checking in on her fellow teammates and players, reminding you to eat well, sunscreen up and stay hydrated. There is no shortage of words to describe Christina’s dedication to the community, or to describe her outstanding logistical and admin skills. She put on an absolute clinic of a season for the U22s Women’s team this past July, managing to provide team lunches for both training camps and the tournament weekend, securing individual beds for both players and staff, all whilst keeping costs down for the campaign.
As a player, teammate, team manager, coach, selector and friend, I cannot thank Christina enough for her contribution to the community.”
Wearing many volunteer hats throughout the year as well as playing in multiple competitive teams, there is no doubt Christina is busy adding value to the sport in every way she can. Thank you Christina!
