Volunteer of the Month – July 2019
Congratulations Sam Waugh, you are Ultimate Victoria’s Volunteer of the Month!
This month sees Sam stepping down from his role as Chair of the Albert Park League committee. Sam Waugh has been an instrumental member of the Albert Park League committee since 2015. During his recent tenure of league administration, Sam has overseen the transformation of Monday night league into its current format of three time slots and many wonderful teams across multiple divisions. In his recent role as Chair of the committee Sam has been responsible for securing fields, curating the APL website and liaising with Ultimate Central. Sam’s commitment to the league, however, dates back to much earlier. He was part of the team that brought Albert Park League to life in the 90s! He’s even done a stint as President of the Victorian Flying Disc Association.
Sam, thank you for the years of work that you’ve put into building the ultimate community in Melbourne. Your hard work is appreciated by so many!
