VICTORIAN U18 COACHING STAFF ANNOUNCEMENT
The Ultimate Victoria Appointment panel and Board are pleased to announce the Coaches for the U18 representative teams, the Bandicoots (Open) and the Blaze (Women), who will lead our Victorian teams at the Australian Youth Ultimate Championships in 2017.
Congratulations to the Victorian U18 Coaching staff for the 2017 Campaign!
Bandicoots (Open) Co-Coaches: Tipman Wong and Lachlan McDonald
Blaze (Women) Co-Coaches: Geoa Geer and Joshi Philip
Tipman and Lachlan have both previously been involved with Victorian junior teams as non-playing coaches, including Tipman as an U18 assistant coach in 2016, and Lachlan as co-coach of the U22 team.
Geoa is an experienced coach of junior players, having coached youth and high school teams both in Australia and the US. She has played Ultimate at an international level and has also performed roles as a development and operations manager.
Joshi is a school teacher who is currently assistant coach of the Ellipsis VUL team. In 2016, he successfully coached a girls team from his high school to a medal at the High School State Championships. He has also played elite international ultimate with men’s team Heads of State and mixed with Ellipsis Ultimate.
