Update on 2020 events

Following the latest COVID-19 restrictions introduced by the Victorian government on August 2nd, Ultimate Victoria has reconsidered the viability of it’s events for the remainder of 2020.

We have had to make the unfortunate decision to cancel the Victorian Mixed Ultimate Championships and the University Mixed Ultimate Championships for 2020.

Both of these events were scheduled for September of this year but updated DHHS guidelines prevent them from going ahead. We have decided to cancel instead of reschedule so as not to cut into the 2020/21 single-gender season.

We wish to thank event partners Latrobe City Council and Cobram Barooga Business & Tourism for their understanding in this matter, and hope that we can try again for 2021.

Teams who have registered for these events will be contacted directly regarding a full refund for their registration fees and the ramifications for Australian Mixed Ultimate Championships qualification.

UV is still considering the possibility of a VUL Mixed event or events for later in the year, and at this stage planning for the annual Melbourne Hat event in December is moving ahead. We will continue to monitor DHHS and SRV advice as the rest of the year plays out.
