Southern Regionals

Victoria hosted the Southern Regional Ultimate Championships every second year until 2019. Historically, the Southern Regional Ultimate Championships (SRUC) was the qualification event for the National Championships.

It was held every year in March, and hosting responsibilities alternated between the three “southern” states, Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania. Open and Women’s teams came from all three states to compete for the title and also a spot at the National Championships.

In 2020, the structure of elite ultimate in Australia changed to a tour format. Teams wishing to compete in the National Championships now take part in the Australian Ultimate Tour. The events of the Australian Ultimate Tour are held throughout Australia.
