CALL FOR U22 COACH, MANAGER AND SELECTOR POSITIONS
Ultimate Victoria is calling for Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Managers and Selectors for the U22 Mixed (Blue Devils), Women’s (Weedy Seadragons) and Men’s (Leadbeater Possums) Victorian representative teams competing at the Australian U-22 Ultimate Championships to be held on 23rd – 25th November in Perth, WA.
In preparation for the campaign, Ultimate Victoria is calling for applications for the positions of:
- Mixed Head Coach
- Mixed Assistant Coach
- Mixed Team Manager
- Women’s Head Coach
- Women’s Assistant Coach
- Women’s Team Manager
- Men’s Head Coach
- Men’s Assistant Coach
- Men’s Team Manager

Selectors
Ultimate Victoria are also calling for Selector applications for each of these three state teams. Selectors will be required to attend nominated selection days which have been tentatively set for 21st, 22nd & 28th July in Bundoora. Applications should be short, no more than one page, and should consist of your coaching and playing experience and motivations for wanting to be a selector.
Important Information for interested players
To be eligible players must be 22 years of age or under as of December 31st 2018.
3 Selection Days:
– Saturday 21st July
– Sunday 22nd July
– Saturday 28th
Where: RMIT Sports Complex, Bundoora
Mixed: 9.00am – 12.30pm
Men’s & Women’s: 1.00pm – 5.00pm

Selection format at try outs is going to be player preference model and will feature both split gender and mixed formats, with all teams to be selected at the same time. Each selection day will feature half day mixed and half day men’s/women’s. Players will need to choose which is their first and second preference (if any) team prior to selections via a google form to be sent out by coaches in early July.
RMIT University will be supporting the U22 Victorian campaign in 2018 by providing training fields and facilities at their brand-new fields and accompanied facilities at the RMIT Sports Complex in Bundoora. The facilities and fields at this location will be available weekly for training in the lead up to the event in November.
Anticipated cost per player for this campaign is $850 – $950 which will include flights to Perth, accommodation, uniforms, tournament fees, food, fields, staff costs etc. Efforts will be made to ensure costs are kept to a minimum.
This tournament is a fantastic opportunity for high school, university and other young players to play Ultimate at the state level. From selection events to the tournament itself, players can be a part of a great community event, have the chance to represent their state and be exposed to a pathway opportunity into national teams.
