2025 University Mixed Ultimate Championship
UMUC is back in 2025, taking place by the Murray River in Cobram-Barooga from Monday June 30th to Thursday July 3rd, 2025. University and TAFE teams from all over Australia and New Zealand are welcome to attend!
UMUC 2025 is supported by Cobram Barooga Business Tourism.
UMUC is a mixed gender event, with men and women competing on the field together. Teams will play round-robin and knockout games, with all teams usually playing 2 games per day across the four days, with social events organised in the evenings. University clubs use this event to introduce their club members to competitive play – the majority of players at this event are in their first or second year of playing ultimate.

Barooga Recreation Reserve (Monday to Wednesday)
Cobram Showgrounds (finals on Thursday)
This year UMUC moves to a new venue – Barooga Recreation Reserve – for Monday to Wednesday. Barooga Recreation Reserve is located walking distance from multiple accommodation options, and next door to the social venue, creating a event hub within the town. Finals on the Thursday will be played at the Cobram Showgrounds, just on the other side of the Murray River.
Cobram-Barooga is 260km (3hrs drive) from Melbourne, 457km (5hrs drive) from Canberra, 670km (7hrs drive) from Sydney, and 750km (8hrs drive) from Adelaide.
Cobram is also serviced by V/Line coaches (Shepparton to Albury routes).
The nearest airports are Tullamarine (serviced by all airlines) or Albury (serviced by Virgin and Qantas)
Registration and fees
Eligibility
Clubs must have a formal affiliation with their university or TAFE institution.
Clubs are encouraged to enter multiple teams.
All players must be enrolled in tertiary level study in Semester 1, 2025. Students who are enrolled but have deferred their studies are eligible to play.
Eligible players from university clubs not sending a team to the event may apply to play for another team.
Accommodation
Visit The Murray has a number of accommodation suggestions, as well as other things to see and do in the area while you are in town.
If you are looking to extend your stay in the area there are also many free camping options with a few minutes drive of Cobram. Ultimate Victoria does not recommend this as an accommodation option during UMUC.
