2023 State Representative Teams – Head Coach applications open
Ultimate Victoria is calling for applications for the Head Coach role for Under 18 and Under 22 Victorian representative teams for 2023. The teams will be competing at the Australian Youth Ultimate Championships and Australian Under 22 Ultimate Championships next year.
Official dates and locations for both events are yet to be announced, however it is expected that they will both be held during the June/July school holiday break.
Please consider this time period and likelihood of travel within Australia if you are interested in applying for a role. Travel and accommodation costs are covered by the campaign.
In preparation for all campaigns, Ultimate Victoria is calling for applications for the following positions.
- Under 18 Girls team (Victoria Blaze) Head Coach
- Under 18 Boys team (Victoria Bandicoots) Head Coach
- Under 22 Womens team (Victoria Weedy Seadragons) Head Coach
- Under 22 Open team (Victoria Leadbeaters Possums) Head Coach
- Under 22 Mixed Metro team (Victoria Metro Blue Devils) Head Coach
- Under 22 Mixed Country & Tasmania team (Victoria Country & Tasmania Greater Bilbies) Head Coach
The expected time commitment for Under 18 Head Coaches are weekly or fortnightly training sessions from April to June, plus attendance at the Australian Youth Ultimate Championships.
The expected time commitment for Under 22 Head Coaches are 2-3 weekend-long training camps held in Melbourne between April and June, plus attendance at the Australian Under 22 Ultimate Championships.
Apply for a role
The application form can be considered an expression of interest, and only asks applicants to respond to essential selection criteria.
Initial applications will be presented to the UV State Representative Teams Subcommittee. Applicants may then be asked to present further information for consideration, such as a campaign plan. The final stage of the process will be an interview with UV staff.

Applications for assistant coach and selector roles will open in December, with appointments to be made in January 2023.
