2023 Melbourne Hat, Melbourne Tournament and Melbourne Masters wrap-up

Over 300 players descended on Albert Park last weekend to play in three different events. Read on to see the winners of each event!

MELBOURNE HAT

The 36th running of the legendary Melbourne Hat tournament was played in wet and muggy conditions on Saturday, but the rain didn’t dampen the energy or the quality of play. 60 players were drawn into random teams to compete on the day. Congratulations go to event winners Team C, and Spirit winners Team A!

MELBOURNE MASTERS

On Sunday was one of only a very few dedicated masters age events, the Melbourne Masters. This event was played in a “kings and queens” format – new teams were formed for each round, with individual win/loss and goal difference records tallied up throughout the day to determine winners of each age group – masters, grandmasters and great grandmasters. Thanks to all who took part, and congratulations to the winners of each age group!

MELBOURNE TOURNAMENT

In only it’s second year the Melbourne Tournament has already established itself as a player favourite. Over 240 players from clubs around Victoria, as well as visiting teams from South Australia, took to the field for two days in the season’s first hit-out.

Congratulations to the winning teams from the weekend!
