2022 UV High School Challenge

The Ultimate Victoria High School Challenge is an all schools event and provides an opportunity for Victorian schools to come together and participate in a full day of Ultimate Frisbee for the second time in 2022.

  • Location: Ross Straw Field, Parkville
  • Dates: Tuesday 13th September (Junior, Yrs 7-9) and Wednesday 14th September (Senior, Yrs 10-12)
  • Time: 9.00am – 2.30pm (first game expected @ 9.30am)
  • Format: 5-a-side. Pool play + finals
  • Divisions: Boys/Mixed, and Girls
  • Team size: 10-12 players (recommended)
  • Cost: $120 per Boys/Mixed team, $100 per Girls team. Fees include GST.

Registering a Team

Schools are asked to register their team(s) by Tuesday 6th September 2022.

Schools can register in advance before they finalise their participant details.

Teams require five (5) players on the field. It is recommended that teams have up to 10-12 players to account for rotations.

For the Junior event, students must be in Years 7, 8 or 9. The Senior event can have students from any year level, but it is recommended students be in Year 10 and above.

Registration Cost and Inclusions

Registration is per team. Registration pricing is $120 per Boys/Open team and $100 per Girls team (inclusive of GST)
Registration covers field hire, equipment, tournament coordination, first aid, and medals.
Schools need to arrange transport for their students.

Students need to bring

  • Water bottles, food and drinks
  • Exercise shoes – cleats (football boots) are recommended however runners are suitable also
  • Spirit for the game

The minimum number of team registrations required for a division to go ahead is four (4). Ultimate Victoria hold the right to cancel a division if there are not enough participating teams registered in that division. If you have entered a team in a division which does become cancelled, you will be notified by Friday 16th September.

Withdrawing a team

Schools may withdraw a team they have registered by emailing the UV General Manager [simon@ultimatevictoria.com.au] directly no later than Friday 16th September 2022. Schools that withdraw after this date will be invoiced accordingly as per the team fees stated above.


Invoices for school teams will be sent to schools following the event.

Are your students interested in playing Ultimate outside of school? Representatives from Melbourne clubs will be in attendance to talk to interested students about their clubs who start their season in October.
