Numbers
Setup
- Two teams with equal numbers
- Two discs
- Four cones
Objective
- When your number is called, work together to pass the disc through the goals
Area
- Mark out a line for each team, facing inward to an open space
- Place a pair of cones at opposite ends to mark a goal for each team
Functions
- Each player on each team is designated a number, starting from 1 and counting upwards
- The coach calls out two numbers (eg: “Two and Four!”) Those two players on each team run out to collect their team’s disc
- Players cannot move while they have the disc. The two players get the disc to their goal by throwing it to each other
- First team to complete a pass that goes through their goal wins
- Play to a fixed number of points (eg: first team to 5 wins)
Safety
- Players cannot prevent the other team from picking up the disc
- Ensure two teams aren’t both aiming for the same goal
CHANGE IT ideas
- Number: call out more than two numbers, and everyone on the team needs to throw at least once (example in the video)
- Game Rules: have one disc in the middle. The first team to the disc plays offence, and the other plays defence. If the defence can intercept a pass or knock a pass to the ground, they win the round
