Interceptor

Setup

Groups of four players. If you have an odd number, have spare players act as substitutes
One disc per group
Four cones per group, set up in a square. Recommend 4-5m sides of the square

Objective

For the interceptor to block or intercept a pass

Area

Three players stand on 3 of the 4 corners of a square, with the interceptor in the middle

Functions

Players can only pass to the corner adjacent to theirs. They cannot pass across the square
Players without the disc can run towards the empty corner next to their own to receive a pass

Safety

The interceptor must be at least 1 metre from the thrower.

CHANGE IT ideas

Area: increase the size of the playing area to allow for longer throws
Game rules: if players are struggling to complete passes, have the interceptor remain still until the disc is thrown
Inclusion: add a second interceptor if players are struggling to get blocks
