Ultimate Frisbee is the largest university sport at the Australian University Games. Each of Victoria’s major universities has an Ultimate club – contact your university club to find out how to get involved.
Deakin is one of the many university clubs loving the world of Ultimate, with members hailing from both Burwood and Geelong campuses. We pride ourselves on our continuous growth as a club, with numbers on the rise every year, and our ability to develop young new players!
Federation University
Our club is open to any students who are currently studying at Federation University, Ballarat. We offer a competitive and social side to Ultimate, competing in the University Mixed Ultimate Championships, Australian University Nationals and every tournament we are able to attend in between.
Latrobe University
LATUUF is the La Trobe University Ultimate Frisbee Club! We are a fun and friendly club that encourages everyone to come and try the wonderful sport that is ultimate, playing primarily at the Australian Mixed University Championships and Australian University Nationals.
Melbourne University
Melbourne University Ultimate is the official club for Ultimate at the University of Melbourne. The club was founded in the year 2000 and has gone from strength to strength ever since. Melbourne University Ultimate seeks to continue to improve and develop the Ultimate scene at both university level and beyond.
Monash University
We are one of the bigger university based ultimate clubs that can provide a wealth of ultimate wisdom and good banter.
RMIT University
RMIT Ultimate Frisbee (RUF) is one of RMIT’s newest clubs. Started in March 2013 they are always on the lookout for new members who want to play.
There are social events during the year and friendly games against other University teams.

Ultimate Victoria have a range of affiliated clubs that cover a large variety of needs.
Albury Wodonga Ultimate Frisbee (AWUF) is a volunteer run, community club based on the border of Victoria and NSW. Established in 2014, AWUF have held an annual Spring League each year. In 2019/20, AWUF started running the ‘Border Hat’ tournament in Autumn and an Indoor Winter League. Pickup games and social events are held throughout the year – check out our socials and events calendar for more info!
Ballarat ultimate was the first regional club, starting from humble beginnings. Now hosting a league every week, as well as multiple tournaments throughout the year, and taking multiple teams to most tournaments around the state, Ballarat Ultimate is a strong club with lots of members, but still seeking new members and ideas to be brought to the club.
Chilly Ultimate
Chilly ranks among Australia’s oldest and most successful Ultimate clubs. The club just turned 15 years old and has claimed 4 nationals titles in its proud history. These include the 3-peat of 2005-2007 and another national championship in 2009. Chilly also won a bronze medal at the 2006 World Ultimate Club Championships, and came fourth at WUCC 2014.
Chilly fields multiple teams each season, catering for a mix of experience and skill levels.
Our motto defines how we behave both on the field and off. That’s why our focus is simple – “be cool, be Chilly”.
Eastern Ultimate is for all players regardless of experience level. We aim or provide a place where new players can be introduced to the game in a relaxed and friendly environment, and where current players can be assured of a fun game while helping player development. You can join at any stage of the season for a pick up game – simply come along for a run!
Ellipsis Ultimate’s goal is to be recognised as a club that encourages and promotes female athletes through the sport of ultimate. We strive to be the most professional ultimate club in Australia.

We send women’s and mixed teams to the Australian National Championships as well as run opportunities for u18 girls in Melbourne.
In 2019, Ellipsis Ultimate has fielded elite women’s, men’s and mixed teams. The women’s team finished Champions of the Division 1 Australian Ultimate Championships. The men’s team finished 4th at the Division 1 Australian Ultimate Championships. The Mixed team finished 8th at the US Open.
Funny Duck Ultimate caters for all ages and skill levels, with teams in nearly every division – we have two teams in the Albert Park League and we compete in the Victorian Ultimate League.
We train on Sunday afternoon in Albert Park and encourage everyone to come along for a fun mix of drills and scrimmage.
Heads of State Ultimate is a sporting club based in Kew, Victoria, that competes in ultimate frisbee. The club was formed as a junior club in 2006 and has grown to over 100 playing members.
“The purposes of the association are to provide an opportunity for all Victorians to experience the sport of ultimate at both a recreational and elite level.”
The club competes at the Victorian Ultimate Championships and the Australian Ultimate Championships each year in both open and women’s divisions. Teams also compete at other tournaments around Australia and internationally.
HoS also provides opportunities for players to learn the sport of ultimate through social games and beginner training. There is no pressure to perform – we have plenty of members for who ultimate is just their weekly run-around!
Wyndham Ultimate provides indoor and outdoor ultimate leagues for Wyndham and the western Melbourne suburbs and we compete in Melbourne and Victorian tournaments and leagues. Our primary indoor league runs on Sunday evenings at the newly developed Eagle Stadium in Werribee and our outdoor events run in association with the Hoppers Crossing Sports Club.
